Add an asset

Register a vehicle or trailer.

Assets are the trucks, trailers and dollies your drivers run. Add them once in the web portal — OneRoad looks each one up on the NHVR register — and they are ready to assign and track.

01

Open the Assets area

Fleet setup happens in the web portal, on a desktop, where you have the full picture.

1

Log in to the portal

Open a browser, go to app.oneroad.io and sign in with your mobile number.

2

Open Assets → All Assets

From the left sidebar, open Assets. You will see every truck, trailer and dolly on your account, with its type, status and last location.

02

Register the asset

OneRoad searches the NHVR Heavy Vehicle Register from the plate, so most details fill themselves in.

1

Click “+ Add Asset”

Top-right of the Assets list. A short setup opens — click Get started.

2

Enter the registration plate

Type the Australian plate and click Find vehicle. OneRoad searches the NHVR Heavy Vehicle Register.

3

Confirm the details

Review the plate, state, make, model, body, colour, year and registration expiry pulled from NHVR.

4

Add asset to Fleet

Click Add asset to Fleet. Repeat for every vehicle — particularly any receiving an OBx device.

Enter the plate — OneRoad looks it up on the NHVR Heavy Vehicle Register.

Choose manual entry instead — fill in the asset details yourself and save it to your fleet.

03

Review & track

Once added, each asset carries its own status and live location.

1

Read the status & filter

Each asset shows In Use, Resting or Inactive, with its type and last-updated location. Filter by type or search by rego to find one fast.

2

Track live location

Switch to the Operations view to see your fleet on the map — a pin appears for each active vehicle.
